Wild Strands Caife
Located within the Malin Head Community Centre, the menu at Wild Strands Caife is creative and unique to the area, offering a distinctive modern taste, representative of a new wave of Wild Atlantic Way inspired culinary excellence.
About the Food
Ineuran flatbreads are very much the house specialty & are available to order sit-in or take away alongside a range of freshly prepared artisan and deli treats.
A ‘Must Try’ is the fresh Irish hand roasted organic coffee (compostable cups-to-go available).
All produce is homemade, infused with Wild Irish Seaweed, inspired by Irish Food Heritage with local artisan or organic ingredients. All flatbreads are cooked on a wood fired oven, the most northerly of it’s type in Ireland.
The Full Experience
Wild Strands ethos is all about sustainability and celebrating everything Seaweed – a multi award winning Dynamic Marine Food Eco- Tourism Company, born out of the family tradition of harvesting seaweed in Malin Head.
In addition to the unique culinary offering Wild Strands provide bespoke Slow Adventure Experiences; wild cooking demonstrations, educational programs, talks and foraging tours.
The founder William Mc Elhinney, as a registered ‘Heritage in Schools Expert’, can offer subsidised, tailored programmes and events for primary schools. For more information and bookings click HERE.
